Maria Prinz is the daughter of the renowned Bulgarian composer and conductor Konstantin Iliev. She graduated from the Hanns Eisler University of Music in Berlin having studied in Prof. Rudolf Dunckel's class. Ms Prinz furthered her education with Jörg Demus in Vienna and with Yvonne Lefébure in Paris. Currently she lives in Vienna and gives lectures at the Vienna University of Music. Along with her teaching career, Maria Prinz is also a concretizing artist with appearances in Europe (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Italy), Japan, the USA. During the past few years the pianist renewed her extensive concert activities in Bulgaria as soloist at concerts of the Sofia Philharmonic Orchestra, giving solo concerts at the March Music Days - Rousse, and the Pianissimo international music festivals.
