"Bulgarian Folk Songs" is a collection of texts of folk songs from different parts of Bulgaria, consisting of brothers Dimitar and Konstantin Miladinovi of Struga. He was released in 1861 in Zagreb under the heading "folk Бѫлгарски пѣсни. Sobrani ota bratyya Miladinovtsi, Dimitrıya and Constantina Constantina and issued ota. Zagreba em. The collection contains 660 songs in 23 559 verses divided into 12 parts (heroic, rebel, love, songs and other mythical) and legends, descriptions of wedding customs idetski games, Bulgarian names proverbs and riddles. In the preface mentions 2000 words and 11 rare songs written in the notes, which then fell due to increased volume of the collection.
The songs are in the collection of different dialects of Bulgarian, but have been collected mainly from Macedonian territory.
Among the accessories in the collection of songs was the Bulgarian poet Rajko Zhinzifov of Veles. Other collaborators have provided Miladinovi brothers songs outside the geographical area of Macedonia.
Following the publication of an anthology, Miladinovi brothers were arrested by Ottoman authorities and taken to Constantinople.
