Description

This is natural dried loose herbal tea from Bulgaria.
Field horsetail
Equisetum arvense L.

Perennial herbaceous plant with a long branched rhizome and two types of aboveground stems: spring and summer. The spring stem is unbranched, brown, ending at the top with a spore-bearing spikelet. The leaves are reduced and fused, arranged in nodes.

It grows in wet places, embankments, meadows and fields as a weed throughout Bulgaria up to 1500 m above sea level.

The summer green stem is used, cut about 20 cm from the top.

In Bulgarian folk medicine, horsetail is used for sand and stones in the kidneys and gallbladder, hemoptysis, pulmonary tuberculosis, dropsy, gout, rheumatism, atherosclerosis, urination, stomach pain, urination, bleeding in the lungs.

Application: as an aid in renal sediments, cystitis, pyelitis, gout, sciatica, rheumatism, etc.

Method of preparation: Put 2 tablespoons of the herb in 600 ml of water and boil for 5 minutes. Strain and drink in 3 equal portions the day before meals.
