Spurwort (Rubia tinctorum L.), dried root 25 g. from Bulgaria

Description

This is natural dried loose herbal tea from Bulgaria.
Spurwort
Rubia tinctorum L.

A perennial herbaceous plant with a long, horizontal and cylindrical rhizome, which is reddish-brown at the outside and red on the inside. The stem is four-armed, with curved spines, inclined, upright or squat, 30-125 cm long.

Leaves and foliage are equally developed, almost without handles, in shape are elliptical, tipped to the tip.

The flowers are small, yellow-green, grouped in a few in half-mascara.

The fruits are in the form of a strawberry, initially red, then black, composed of two globular parts with one seed.

Blooms from July to September.

Spurwort – dried root

Application: as ad iad in kidney stones, inflammation of the renal pelvis and bladder, spleen, jaundice, improves bone formation.

Method of preparation: 1 teaspoon boil for 10 minutes in 400 g of water. Drain and drink 3 times 10 grams before eating.
