Description

This is natural dried loose herbal tea from Bulgaria.

Tagetes is unpretentious, abundant flowering and is one of the most used in Bulgaria for the decoration of terraces, gardens and parks.

The generic name comes from the Etruscan god – Tagus. Tagetes patula, L. and Tagetes erecta, L. are the most common. Both species have erect stems, with T. patula reaching 60 cm in height and T. erecta about 1 meter in height. The stems have a rib-shaped surface and are green and often turn red-brown towards the apex. The flowers of T. erecta are larger – up to 6-7 cm in diameter. The dyes of both species are bright – yellow, orange, or yellow-brown. There are variants with very spectacular velvety or ruffled colors that do not exceed 15-20 cm in height. The plant blooms from July to the first freezing temperatures in late autumn.

In Bulgarian folk medicine herb is used in the treatment of hemorrhages, uterine fibroids, uterine inflammations, mastopathy, cysts.

Tagetes – dried flower

Application: in case of uterine inflammation, myomatous formations, etc.

Method of preparation: Pour 2 teaspoons of the herb with 500 ml of hot water. Add 1 tbsp calendula – dried flower nd leave for 30 min. Strain and drink 3 equal portions during the day before meals.
