An annual herbaceous plant with a strongly branched non-winding stem.

Its leaves are three-parted, with broad ovate-pointed leaves, covered with hairs.

The flowers are white or pink-violet, gathered in clustered inflorescences, with a 5-part fused calyx and a 5-leaf irregular corolla, consisting of a boat, a flag and wings.

The fruit is a long, drooping bean filled with white or otherwise colored kidney-shaped seeds.

The beans are cultivated all over Bulgaria. His homeland is South America.

Dried beans without seeds, harvested after full ripening – in July-September. The harvested beans are left in the sun to dry. The dried herb is white or slightly yellow in color, odorless and has a sweet-slimy taste. Store in dry and ventilated rooms.

Application: as an aid in diabetes, edema caused by inflammation of the kidneys, heart failure, etc.

Method of preparation: Pour 2 tablespoons of the herb with 700 ml of hot water and boil for 15 minutes. Soak for 1 hour and strain. Take 180 ml 3 times a day before meals.
